Jordan House tours are offered Friday and Sunday at 11am & 1:30pm.
Jordan House tours will require a ticket purchase in advance.

James Jordan Scholars Leadership Institute

James Jordan remains an important and unique figure in West Des Moines and Central Iowa history. A leader in many fields as well as a staunch abolitionist and Conductor on the Underground Railroad, his life is the inspiration for the James Jordan Scholars Leadership Institute. The Scholars are area high school juniors who spend 8 months meeting with community leaders in the fields that Mr. Jordan excelled, including banking, governance, philanthropy, education and agriculture.
