Welcome to New Board Members

Members of the West Des Moines Historical Society voted to accept three new board members at the annual meeting in January.

Scott Hart has previously volunteered for the WDMHS and been a docent for tours of the Jordan House. Scott has a Master’s Degree in museum studies from the University of Leicester, and has a great passion for the Jordan House and work of the WDMHS.

Kelsey Hudson is Curriculum Lead for West Des Moines Community Schools and teaches AP History at Valley High School – WDMCS. She brings extensive experience designing thoughtful and effective programs for students of all ages and a genuine love of history to our Board.

Kate Levasseur is the Associate Museum Manager at the Wells Fargo Museum in Des Moines, and previously was a site supervisor and interpreter at Living History Farms. She’s a Valley High graduate and with her degrees in history and public administration, Kate is already having a positive impact on the work of the WDMHS
