The WDMHS Board of Directors comprises leaders from the nonprofit and for-profit sector who are dedicated to the organization’s mission. Offering the unique opportunity to support the rich history of West Des Moines, including but not limited to preserving the only Underground Railroad stop open to the public in Central Iowa, the WDMHS board strives to be a model of governance performance.

Critical to this mission are our volunteer Board of Directors. Serving on the WDMHS Board of Directors is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about strengthening leadership and governance in the nonprofit sector. It is an opportunity to serve community while gaining a new skill set and experiences.

Desired Skills and Expertise
