Calling All Volunteers!

The West Des Moines Historical Society needs you!

We are increasing our volunteer opportunities though special events and annual programs, and would greatly appreciate your help.

Upcoming and ongoing projects include:

• Journey to the Past 5k/Fun Run on October 24. Help is needed with setup, water tables and tear down.
• Home for the Holidays Celebrations December 6 and 13. Are you interested  in assisting families with gingerbread house decorating and making traditional holiday decorations at the Bennett School?
• Are your skills more suited for planning special events that support the educational and preservation mission of the West Des Moines Historical Society though serving on a committee?
• Do you enjoy fall and spring cleaning, especially raking leaves, cleaning out flower beds, helping us wash windows?
• Is teaching tour groups about the amazing history of the Historic Jordan Home and Bennett School your passion?
• Is there something you can do to support the WDMHS that isn’t listed here?
